By accessing or using Pochidata ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Pochidata is a personal finance management platform that allows you to:
- Track personal income and expenses across multiple wallets
- Create and participate in community savings groups (Vikoba)
- Monitor group transactions, contributions, and balances
- Generate financial reports and analytics
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
5. Financial Data
The Service allows you to record and track financial transactions. While we strive to maintain accuracy, you acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter
- The Service does not provide financial advice or recommendations
- The Service does not process actual monetary transactions between users
- Any group savings activities are managed by the group members themselves
6. Savings Groups
Pochidata facilitates the management of community savings groups (Vikoba). By participating in a group, you agree that:
- Group transactions and contributions are recorded for transparency
- Group administrators may view your contributions and transaction history within the group
- Pochidata is a record-keeping tool and does not guarantee any financial outcomes
- Disputes between group members should be resolved among the members themselves
7. Privacy & Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. Your personal and financial data is:
- Stored securely using industry-standard encryption
- Never sold to third parties
- Only shared with group members as necessary for group functionality
- Retained only for as long as your account is active or as required by law
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team.
8. SMS Notifications
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS notifications related to your account and group activities. Standard messaging rates may apply. You can configure your SMS preferences in your account settings.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is the intellectual property of Pochidata. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pochidata and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
